recently v.2

so bored lately. been playing pokemon on the computer today - that's how bored i am. it's not a bad game though. definetly rating rx bandit's new album "mandala" though - check it out - imagine a ska band playing mars volta and you've got a very unflattering description of how they sound. will update properly soon i guess.

the hangover

so, the other day, i turned down the chance to see the new transformers film to see this instead - judging by pretty much everyone's reaction to transformers, i made the right decision - this film was awesome, and exactly the type of film i'm into - you actually kinda think they should have used a storyline for this for american pie : the wedding - not a bad film, but this was about ten times better - clever in a non-deliberate way in how it tells the story of the batchelor party backwards, and the actors, especially "fat jesus" are hilarious - that guy should be in more films...ken jeong, the oriental gang boss (and the doctor in knocked up, and the "king" in role models) is really funny in his stupid way as well...such a surprise when he makes his "entrance" - definetly a film that could have been really, really bad and cliched but managed to be funny enough that the predictability, when it was there, was not a problem at all - awesome film - and probably mroe straight up funny than the other awesome recent comedy "role models", although probably not as "good" of a film - abit like how Superbad compares to Knocked Up.

so, i finished uni a while ago, came back a week or so ago, and i'm so bored. don't really wanna go back to my old job at mcdonald's - it's not as bad as you would have thought but that doesn't mean it's good. been listening to "off the wall" by michael jackson (yeah, because he passed away, nothing wrong with that), "blood on the tracks" by bob dylan (can't believe i never listened ot this before) and bon iver's album "for emma, forever ago" (started listening to again after i watched his glastonbury performance on tv - really really good)...

that reminds me, next year i need to make sure i have enough money/people to go with that i can actually go to glastonbury - it looked awesome this year...blur playing "the unviersal" to close the pyramid stage was awesome...that song must have been written for epic moments like that...
